Derek Myers, a MAGA-supporting candidate in Ohio's Republican primary for Congress, prematurely conceded defeat hours before polls closed.
Myers blamed the blunder on a technical error, saying a pre-drafted concession email was mistakenly sent.
He later issued a statement asking recipients to disregard the premature concession email.
Despite the premature concession, Myers finished last among 11 candidates in Ohio’s 2nd district with just 1.5% of the votes.
Myers' campaign also made a typo, referring to the night as 'impotent' instead of 'important'.
