Ohio House Explosion Kills 2, Injures 1 as Investigation Continues

  • The blast sent debris across the neighborhood, causing minor damage to nearby homes and was strong enough to shake residences and wake neighbors.
  • Authorities are investigating the cause of the explosion, with the Ohio State Fire Marshal leading the effort; propane was confirmed to be in use at the home, but no cause has been identified yet.
  • The sole survivor, a heating repairman working on the furnace at the time, managed to escape the blaze and was transported to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center
  • The explosion also resulted in the deaths of several animals, including up to 30 cats, and fire crews took 45 minutes to extinguish the flames.
