Oklahoma Father Charged with Torturing Infant Son to Death

Daquan White, previously involved in a police confrontation using another child as a shield, now faces potential life sentence if convicted.

Daquan White, 22, has been charged with second-degree murder, child abuse, and child neglect after allegedly torturing his 4-month-old son, Xylon Adams, to death.
The baby was taken to Saint Francis Children's hospital on Jan. 8 with numerous injuries, including rib fractures, global brain injuries, and multiple fractures. He died three days later.
White was arrested on Jan. 9 for an outstanding warrant and admitted to police that he had abused his son in an attempt to quiet him.
White had a previous incident where he used another of his children as a shield during a police confrontation, leading to questions about his character.
White's bond is set at $1 million and he is scheduled to appear in court on Jan. 23. If convicted, he could serve at least 10 years to life due to a previous felony conviction.
