Overview

• Ollie Madden, who became Film4 Director in 2022 and added Channel4 Drama oversight in 2024, will start as Netflix’s Director of UK Film in October 2025.
• In his new role Madden will report to VP Content Anne Mensah, lead Netflix’s UK film slate, serve as the primary UK contact for Dan Lin’s productions, and develop a portfolio of filmmaker-led series.
• Farhana Bhula, Film4’s Head of Creative and Deputy Director, will step in as interim Director of Film4 from July 1, 2025.
• Gwawr Lloyd, Channel4’s Commissioning Editor for drama, will assume the Interim Head of Drama role reporting to Ian Katz starting July 1, 2025.
• During his eight-year tenure at Film4, Madden backed Oscar-winning films including Poor Things, The Zone of Interest and The Favourite.
