OnlyFans Creator Charged with Murder in Fatal BDSM Encounter

Michaela Rylaarsdam faces second-degree murder charges after Michael Dale died of asphyxiation during a paid BDSM session in 2023.

Michael Dale, 55, died from asphyxiation after being wrapped in plastic and having a bag duct taped over his head during a BDSM session with Michaela Rylaarsdam.
Rylaarsdam, 31, recorded parts of the encounter for her OnlyFans account, which she operates with her husband, according to prosecutors.
Prosecutors allege that Dale did not consent to actions that obstructed his breathing, including the placement of the plastic bag over his head.
Rylaarsdam called 911 after realizing something went wrong, but Dale was declared brain-dead shortly after and later removed from life support.
Rylaarsdam has pleaded not guilty to the second-degree murder charge and remains in custody without bond as she awaits trial.
