Over 1,500 College Football Players Enter Transfer Portal

Major teams like Texas A&M Aggies, Oregon State Beavers, and Vanderbilt hit hard by player transfers

Since the college football transfer portal opened on Monday, over 1,500 players have entered the portal to move on to a new school. Among those players are quarterbacks DJ Uiagalelei, Riley Leonard, Dillon Gabriel and others.
Texas A&M Aggies have lost 12 players to the transfer portal since November, including defensive tackle Walter Nolen, the No. 1 recruit in the 2022 class, and former five-star defensive lineman LT Overton.
Oregon State Beavers lost head coach Jonathan Smith to Michigan State, which led to key players like quarterback DJ Uiagalelei and freshman quarterback Aidan Chiles entering the portal.
Vanderbilt has seen 17 players enter the transfer portal since November, including quarterbacks AJ Swann and Ken Seals, and the team's top three receivers.
Among the top transfers of 2023 are QB Shedeur Sanders (Colorado), RB Ray Davis (Kentucky), WR Malik Washington (Virginia), and DL Elijah Roberts (SMU).
