Panipat Municipal Polls Conclude with 52.2% Voter Turnout

Polling for the Panipat Municipal Corporation elections took place on Sunday, March 9, 2025, across 365 booths from 8 AM to 6 PM.
The voter turnout was recorded at 52.2%, with over four lakh eligible voters in the city.
Four candidates are competing for the mayoral position, while 103 candidates vied for 26 councillor seats.
Results for Panipat and other municipal corporations in Haryana, including Gurugram, Faridabad, and Hisar, will be declared on March 12.
Political parties, including the BJP and Congress, expressed confidence in their respective campaigns, with the BJP promoting its 'triple-engine' governance model.
