Paramount+ Absorbs Showtime in Major Streaming Consolidation

Paramount Global combined its Paramount+ and Showtime streaming services into a single $11.99 per month offering.
Existing Showtime subscribers will be automatically upgraded to the new Paramount+ with Showtime bundle at no added cost.
Showtime content like series, movies and live sports will now appear throughout the Paramount+ platform.
The move is designed to expand Paramount Global's streaming scale and was based on consumer research.
The consolidation included cutting about 120 jobs from Showtime and combining Showtime and MTV studios into a single group.
