Franke Admits to Torturing Her Children, Agrees to Testify Against Business Partner in Upcoming Trial
- Ruby Franke, a Utah mother of six and former parenting influencer on YouTube, has pleaded guilty to four counts of aggravated child abuse.
- Franke admitted to torturing her 12-year-old son and 9-year-old daughter, including forcing them into hours of physical tasks, denying them food or water, and physically abusing them.
- Franke tried to convince her children they were 'evil and possessed' and needed to be punished to repent.
- Two of Franke’s charges were dropped as a result of her plea agreement. She will serve prison time, with the length to be determined at her sentencing on Feb. 20, 2024.
- As part of the plea agreement, Franke agreed to testify against her business partner, therapist Jodi Hildebrandt, who was also charged with six felony counts of aggravated child abuse.
