Passenger Disrupts Flight After Swallowing Rosary Beads and Attacking Crew

Delange Augustin, 31, caused a disturbance on a flight to Miami, claiming 'Satan's disciples' had followed him onto the plane.
Augustin swallowed rosary beads, which he believed were a weapon in spiritual warfare, and attacked a flight attendant, kicking them into a window across the aisle.
The flight, operated by Envoy Air, returned to Savannah shortly after takeoff, where Augustin was restrained by passengers and arrested by authorities.
His sister told investigators they were traveling to Haiti to escape perceived religious attacks of a spiritual nature.
Augustin faces charges including misdemeanor battery, criminal property damage, and interfering with a flight crew.
