Peloton Recalls Over 2 Million Exercise Bikes Due to Seat Post Breakage

Peloton is recalling 2.2 million exercise bikes due to seat posts breaking during use, posing fall and injury hazards.
There have been 35 reports of seat posts breaking, resulting in 13 reported injuries including broken wrists, lacerations, and bruises.
The recall only affects Peloton's original bike model sold between January 2018 and May 2023 in the US.
Peloton is offering free repair kits with replacement seat posts that consumers can install themselves.
Peloton's stock price dropped following the announcement as the company faces slowing demand and previous recalls.
