Penguin Causes Flight Delays at Wellington National Airport

Six-week-old Korora taken to Wellington Zoo for recovery, airport enhances fencing to prevent future incidents.

A small blue penguin, known locally as a Korora, was spotted on the runway at New Zealand's Wellington National Airport, causing flight delays.
The penguin was taken to the Wellington Zoo to recover. It was found to be thin, hungry, and a little underweight, but otherwise in good health.
The airport has since done fencing to prevent such incidents in the future.
The penguin was just six weeks old when it was discovered.
The zoo plans to release the penguin back into the wild once its feathers are waterproof.
