Pierre Palmade Accepts Prison Sentence for 2023 Car Crash

The comedian will serve two years in prison following his conviction for causing a serious accident while under the influence of drugs.

  • Pierre Palmade has decided not to appeal his five-year sentence, which includes two years of mandatory imprisonment, for a car accident he caused in February 2023.
  • The accident, which occurred in Seine-et-Marne, left three people seriously injured, including a pregnant woman who lost her unborn child as a result of the crash.
  • Palmade was convicted of 'involuntary injuries' while driving under the influence of drugs and expressed deep remorse during his trial in November 2024.
  • He will be summoned by the Bordeaux prosecutor's office within a month to receive details of his incarceration, which must begin within four months.
  • Once incarcerated, Palmade will have the opportunity to request a sentence adjustment, subject to a judge's approval after a formal hearing.
