Rob Murphy, former Detroit Pistons assistant general manager, was fired for violating the team's workplace conduct policy following accusations of sexual harassment and an internal investigation.
DeJanai Raska, a former Pistons employee, has filed a lawsuit against the team and Murphy alleging that he sexually harassed and belittled her.
Murphy had been promoted to assistant general manager in 2022 after previously serving as president of the G League Motor City Cruise.
The Pistons fired Murphy the day before local media outlets published reports on Raska's allegations and lawsuit.
Murphy spent 10 seasons as Eastern Michigan's head coach before joining the Pistons organization.
