Pitcher Tyler Zombro signed to minor-league deal by Texas Rangers

The Texas Rangers signed pitcher Tyler Zombro to a minor-league deal.
Zombro made national headlines in June 2021 after being struck in the head by a 104-mph line drive during a Triple-A game with the Durham Bulls.
He underwent brain surgery and made his return to the mound with Triple-A Durham in April 2022 before being released by the Tampa Bay Rays organization in March.
Zombro has yet to appear in the majors and owns a 2.91 career ERA in the minors with 144 strikeouts across 179 1/3 innings pitched.
