PM Modi Lays Foundation for Cancer Hospital at Bageshwar Dham, Criticizes Mockery of Indian Traditions

During his Madhya Pradesh visit, Modi emphasized unity, announced nationwide cancer care initiatives, and condemned divisive attacks on religion and culture.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi laid the foundation stone for the Bageshwar Dham Medical and Science Research Institute, which will include a 100-bed cancer hospital offering free treatment to underprivileged patients.
The hospital, estimated to cost ₹218 crore and be completed in three years, will feature advanced medical equipment and a ward named after Modi's late mother, Heeraben Modi.
Modi highlighted government initiatives to combat cancer, including district-level cancer daycare centers within three years and affordable cancer treatment programs.
At the event, Modi criticized political leaders and foreign influences for mocking Indian traditions, temples, and religious practices, accusing them of attempting to divide society.
The Prime Minister also praised sanitation workers and police for their contributions during the Maha Kumbh, describing the event as a symbol of India's unity and cultural heritage.
