Pokémon TCG Unveils 'Destined Rivals' Set Featuring Team Rocket and Trainer’s Pokémon

The 'Destined Rivals' set will launch globally on May 30, 2025, combining Japanese expansions Heat Wave Arena and The Glory of Team Rocket.
Players can align with heroic Trainers like Cynthia and Garchomp ex or join Team Rocket with Giovanni and Mewtwo ex.
The set includes over 240 cards, featuring 85 Trainer’s Pokémon, 45 Team Rocket’s Pokémon, and 23 illustration rare Pokémon.
Prerelease tournaments begin May 17, 2025, as part of the Play! Pokémon program at independent retailers.
A new line of Team Rocket-themed merchandise will accompany the release, though its availability outside Japan remains uncertain.
