Police Continue Search for Parents of Baby Elsa, Abandoned in London

The one-year-old, left in freezing temperatures last year, is thriving and has taken her first steps, a court has heard.

Baby Elsa was found abandoned in a shopping bag in East Ham, London, in January 2024, less than an hour after her birth.
She is the third sibling discovered abandoned in the same area over the past seven years, with her brothers found in 2017 and 2019.
A family court recently reported that Elsa is meeting developmental milestones and has taken her first steps.
The Metropolitan Police continue to investigate the case, having reviewed over 450 hours of CCTV footage, and are working with the National Crime Agency.
A £20,000 reward for information leading to the identification of Elsa's parents is being offered by Crimestoppers until April 18, 2025.
