Police Officer Charged with Murder of Unarmed Black Man During Car Chase

A London police officer has been charged with murder for fatally shooting Chris Kaba, an unarmed Black man, during a car chase in September 2022.
The officer, known only as NX121, fired a single bullet into Kaba's vehicle in Streatham Hill, South London on September 5.
NX121 is a specialist firearms officer whose identity has not been publicly released.
The Crown Prosecution Service authorized the murder charge, and the officer will appear in court on Thursday.
Kaba's family expressed approval of the decision to charge the officer and are seeking justice.
