Police Recover £70,000 of Stolen Whisky After Motorway Chase

A lorry carrying stolen Johnny Cree whisky was stopped on the M606 near Bradford following a brief police pursuit.

West Yorkshire Police discovered £70,000 worth of suspected stolen Johnny Cree whisky in a lorry on Saturday morning.
The lorry was stopped on the northbound M606 near Bradford after a brief chase involving a stinger deployment by traffic officers.
The vehicle was flagged as suspicious during a routine drink-drive patrol under the Operation Limit campaign.
Two men in the lorry were arrested at the scene after failing to provide documentation for the whisky, which is believed to have been stolen.
The motorway was temporarily closed for safety during the incident but has since reopened.
