Political Operative Sentenced to 24 Years for Conspiring to Kill Colleague

Sean Caddle, a New Jersey Democratic consultant, was sentenced to 24 years in prison for hiring hitmen to murder his former employee and friend Michael Galdieri in 2014.
Caddle claimed Galdieri was blackmailing him and threatening to expose wrongdoing in Caddle's consulting firm.
Although Caddle cooperated extensively with the FBI, no further indictments resulted from his cooperation.
Two ex-convicts who pleaded guilty to a 2014 bank robbery implicated Caddle in the murder plot.
The judge remained skeptical about Caddle's acceptance of responsibility despite his cooperation.
