Overview

• Three Padma Vibhushan honours were conferred in the second phase, notably to Justice (Retd.) Jagdish Singh Khehar and posthumous recipients Sharda Sinha and Kumudini Rajnikant Lakhia.
• Nine individuals received the Padma Bhushan, including social activist Sadhvi Ritambhara and classical dancer Shobana Chandrakumar.
• The Padma Shri accounted for 56 of the awards, recognising distinguished service across fields from science to the performing arts.
• This ceremony upheld the 'people’s honour' ethos by celebrating 30 unsung heroes and awarding 13 honours posthumously.
• Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, and Home Minister Amit Shah joined President Murmu at Rashtrapati Bhavan for the investiture.
