Prisoner Jamie Cooper Escapes from Transport Van on M55 Motorway

Lancashire Police are conducting an active search and urging public caution after the escape near Preston earlier today.

Jamie Cooper, 33, escaped from a prison van near junction two on the M55 motorway by Catforth, Preston, at around 8:54am on March 19, 2025.
Lancashire Police have launched an investigation and increased officer presence in the area to locate Cooper.
Cooper is described as 5ft 7in tall, of medium build, with short, cropped hair, and was last seen wearing a blue coat, blue jeans, and black trainers.
Authorities have advised the public not to approach Cooper if spotted and to call 999 immediately to report sightings.
Cooper has known connections to Blackpool and Bolton, which may inform ongoing police efforts to track his whereabouts.
