Prolific Online Sexual Predator Anthony Burns Jailed for 24 Years

Burns blackmailed dozens of women and children globally into performing depraved acts, causing immense distress and harm.

Anthony Burns, 39, has been sentenced to 24 years in prison for a series of online sexual offences, including blackmail, malicious communications, making indecent images of children, possessing extreme pornography and causing sexual activity with a child.
Burns used multiple online identities to target women and children across the globe, using dating and 'sugar daddy' websites to trap his victims into performing sexual and degrading acts under the threat of blackmail.
He coerced a woman in the United States to sexually abuse a seven-year-old girl while he recorded a 25-minute video.
Burns, previously convicted for sexual grooming in 2010 and inciting child prostitution in 2013, continued his offences even after being arrested three times and released on bail.
Burns was associated with another online predator, Abdul Elahi, who was sentenced to 32 years in 2021 for similar offences.
