Overview
- Francesco Campagna, a 55-year-old nurse at Palermo’s Villa Sofia hospital, allegedly killed his wife, 50-year-old school assistant Maria Rita Bonanno, with a wrench and then committed suicide by jumping from their Castelvetrano home.
- Their three daughters lived with them in the apartment block where Campagna’s body was found in the courtyard and Bonanno’s was discovered on the stairwell.
