Puducherry Budget 2025-26 Unveils ₹13,600 Cr Outlay with Focus on Welfare and Sustainability

- A ₹1,000 monthly assistance for three years has been introduced for students pursuing higher education after attending government schools from classes 6 to 12.
- Environmental measures include a Green Mobility Policy with subsidies for electric vehicles, elimination of single-use plastics, and a ₹1,433 crore coastal resilience project awaiting approval.
- Additional initiatives include increasing MLA local area development funds, expanding financial aid for students and pensioners, and modernizing infrastructure, including a new bus stand named after Atal Bihari Vajpayee.
