Punjab Police Arrest Seven in Amritsar Weapon Smuggling Crackdown

Punjab Police arrested seven individuals in two separate operations in Amritsar on March 29, 2025, targeting weapon smuggling networks.
A total of 10 pistols, including Glock 9mm and .30 bore models, along with ammunition and Rs 3.05 lakh in cash, were recovered during the raids.
The suspects are linked to Pakistan-based smugglers and foreign gangsters Lakhbir Landa and Satta Naushera, highlighting cross-border criminal connections.
The operations, led by the Counter Intelligence wing, were conducted near Uggar Aulakh village on the Amritsar-Ajnala road based on reliable intelligence inputs.
Cases have been registered under the Arms Act and Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, with further investigations underway to dismantle the broader smuggling network.
