Punjab Police Demolish Illegal Properties of Drug Smugglers in Jalandhar

Structures built on encroached panchayat land were razed as part of the state's intensified anti-drug campaign.

The Punjab Police, in coordination with local authorities, demolished illegal structures belonging to two drug smugglers in Phillaur, Jalandhar district.
The properties were built on unlawfully occupied panchayat land in Khanpur and Mandi villages, according to officials.
The individuals targeted were Jasvir Singh alias Sheera and a woman named Bholi, both with multiple drug-related cases against them.
This action is part of Punjab's broader anti-drug initiative, which has included demolishing seven illegal structures since February 25, 2025.
The state government has committed to making Punjab drug-free within three months, with a focus on enforcement and de-addiction resources.
