Punjab Sends Teachers Abroad to Drive Education Reform
Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann highlights the role of foreign-trained teachers in enhancing education standards through international training programs.
- Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann flagged off 72 teachers for a training program in Finland from March 17 to 28, 2025, as part of the state’s education reform initiative.
- The initiative has previously sent 234 principals to Singapore and 152 headmasters to IIM Ahmedabad for leadership and teaching development programs.
- Teachers are trained in modern international teaching practices and are expected to share these methods with students and colleagues upon their return.
- Participants are selected transparently based on merit and must receive recommendations from at least 10 students they have taught.
- Mann emphasized that this program aims to rejuvenate Punjab’s education system and ensure students receive quality education aligned with global standards.
