Overview

  • Kenneth Hanna’s Farm Shop has issued a recall for all two-litre bottles of Ken’s Raw Jersey Milk sold in Northern Ireland due to possible contamination with Shiga-toxin producing E. coli (STEC).
  • The recall applies to all batch codes and use-by dates, with consumers advised to either return the product to the place of purchase or dispose of it immediately.
  • The Food Standards Agency (FSA) has published a Product Recall Information Notice (FSA-PRIN-26-2025) to inform consumers and authorities about the potential public health risk.
  • STEC infections can lead to severe symptoms, including bloody diarrhoea, abdominal pain, and in some cases, haemolytic uremic syndrome (HUS), which can cause kidney failure and be fatal.
  • Consumers experiencing symptoms are advised to stay away from work, school, or nursery for at least 48 hours after symptoms end to prevent spreading the infection.
