The snowfall caused traffic congestion and minor collisions, but no injuries or weather-related deaths were reported.
A heavy snow advisory was issued for the entire area of Seoul before being lifted later in the day.
Other parts of South Korea also experienced snow or rain on Saturday.
More than 4,600 workers were deployed by the city government to remove snow across Seoul.
