The move is a response to the Colorado Supreme Court's decision to bar former President Donald Trump from the state's primary ballot, citing the 14th Amendment which bans U.S. officials who engage in insurrection from holding future office.
The lawmakers argue that the same reasoning used to bar Trump could be applied to Biden, citing issues at the southern border and allegations of corrupt family business dealings with China.
Passing such legislation is considered a long shot, particularly in Pennsylvania where Democrats hold a slim majority.
The Colorado Supreme Court's decision is expected to be appealed to the U.S. Supreme Court by the Trump campaign.
