Retired IAS Officer Assaulted by Jaipur Bus Conductor Over ₹10 Fare Dispute

The incident occurred on a Jaipur City Transport Services Limited (JCTSL) bus when retired IAS officer R.L. Meena missed his designated stop at Kanota due to the conductor's failure to notify him.
Meena was asked to pay an additional ₹10 for the unintended extra distance to Nayla, which he refused, leading to an argument.
A video captured by a passenger showed the conductor, Ghanshyam Sharma, physically assaulting the elderly officer after Meena slapped him during the altercation.
The Jaipur police have registered an FIR against the conductor, and an investigation is underway to gather further details from witnesses and JCTSL officials.
JCTSL has suspended the conductor for misconduct and announced an internal inquiry into the incident, providing a subsistence allowance during his suspension.
