Ridge Fire Forces Evacuations in Northern California

Firefighters make progress overnight as favorable conditions help contain 2,500-acre blaze in Lake and Colusa counties.

The Ridge Fire began Saturday afternoon near Walker Ridge Road and Highway 20.
Evacuation orders are in place for around 50 homes in Lake and Colusa counties.
Cal Fire reports the fire is 15% contained with 2,500 acres burned.
Efforts include 300 personnel, 19 bulldozers, 13 helicopters, and multiple air tankers.
Highway 20 remains closed in both directions due to fire activity.
