- Robbie Fowler, the former Liverpool striker, has been named as the new head coach of Al Qadisiyah FC, a club in Saudi Arabia’s second division.
- Fowler played his club football at Liverpool, Leeds United and Manchester City and won multiple honours during his career.
- Al Qadisiyah FC are based in Al-Kharj, Saudi Arabia and play in the Saudi First Division, the second tier of football in the country.
- Fowler will be joined in Saudi Arabia by his assistant Tony Grant, who worked under Duncan Ferguson at Forest Green Rovers.
- Fowler has previous managerial experience at Muangthong United in Thailand and Brisbane Roar in Australia.
