Robert Eggers' 'Nosferatu' Remake Promises Old-School Gothic Horror

Bill Skarsgård Transforms into a More Authentic Vampire, While Lily-Rose Depp's Character Takes Center Stage

Director Robert Eggers' remake of 'Nosferatu' is set to be a 'scary' and 'old-school Gothic' horror movie, aiming to bring genuine fear back to the genre.
Bill Skarsgård, known for his role as Pennywise in 'It', is praised by Eggers for his transformation into the vampire Count Orlok, with Eggers stating that Skarsgård looks more like a vampire than a real vampire.
The film will also star Lily-Rose Depp as Ellen Hutter, the wife of Nicholas Hoult's character Thomas Hutter. Eggers has stated that this version of the story will focus more on her character than previous versions.
Eggers has been working on 'Nosferatu' since 2016, with the film set to release in 2024.
Despite the iconic performances of Max Schreck and Klaus Kinski in previous versions of 'Nosferatu', Eggers is confident that Skarsgård's interpretation will stand apart while still honoring those who came before him.
