Rooster Teeth Returns Under Original Founder Burnie Burns

The iconic digital media brand has been reacquired by its co-founder and will relaunch with a renewed focus on creativity and community.

Burnie Burns, co-founder of Rooster Teeth, has acquired the brand and many of its assets through his production company, Box Canyon Productions.
The acquisition does not include some key properties such as RWBY, which was sold to Viz Media in 2024, or other IPs that reverted to their creators.
The relaunch will focus on reviving classic shows, new productions like the audio drama 'Again,' and a reimagining of Burns' first film, 'The Schedule.'
Burns emphasized a commitment to returning Rooster Teeth to its roots, prioritizing fan engagement, creativity, and innovation.
Production on new and classic content is expected to ramp up by summer 2025, with details to be shared in upcoming announcements and podcasts.
