Russia Preparing for Possible New Test of Experimental Nuclear-Powered Missile

Russia may be preparing to test an experimental nuclear-powered cruise missile known as Burevestnik or SSC-X-9 Skyfall.
The missile is designed to have a long range and be powered by a small onboard nuclear reactor.
Previous tests of the missile in 2017 and 2018 were unsuccessful in achieving the full designed range.
New activity suggests Russia may be readying another test of the experimental missile in the Arctic region.
The nuclear-powered missile, if successful, could allow Russia to strike distant targets around the world.
