Whitlock was transported to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries and later cited for petty theft and battery.
Hong was arrested at the scene, declined medical attention, and now faces charges of assault with a deadly weapon, which could carry up to four years in prison and a $10,000 fine if convicted.
