Overview

• Seventeen Members of Parliament, including Bhartruhari Mahtab, Supriya Sule, and P P Chaudhary, have been selected for the 2025 Sansad Ratna Awards.
• Two Parliamentary Standing Committees—Finance and Agriculture—were also recognized for their outstanding performance in submitting high-quality reports to Parliament.
• The awardees were chosen by a jury chaired by Hansraj Ahir, head of the National Commission for Backward Classes, based on their legislative contributions.
• Bhartruhari Mahtab chairs the Standing Committee on Finance, while Charanjit Singh Channi leads the Standing Committee on Agriculture.
• The awards, instituted in 2010 on Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam’s suggestion, will be presented in a ceremony scheduled for late July in New Delhi.
