Saxon Education Minister Faces Driving Ban for Speeding Violation

Conrad Clemens, Saxony's Education Minister, will serve a two-month driving ban and pay a fine for a speeding incident.
The violation occurred in 2023, when Clemens was driving 80 km/h in a 30 km/h zone in Krauschwitz, Görlitz district.
At the time of the offense, Clemens held the position of State Secretary and Saxony's federal envoy, not Education Minister.
Initially contesting the charge, Clemens later withdrew his appeal and enrolled in a driver improvement seminar.
Clemens publicly acknowledged his mistake, stating he takes full responsibility for his actions.
