School Bus Collision in South Carolina Sends 18 to Hospital

A school bus carrying 36 students crashed into a tanker truck in South Carolina, resulting in 17 children and 1 adult being transported to the hospital.
The students were from Gilbert Middle School and Gilbert High School.
The crash occurred in Lexington County, about 30 miles from the state capital of Columbia.
The students and adult have all been released from the hospital.
The cause of the crash is still under investigation by the South Carolina Highway Patrol.
