Renuka, a senior Maoist leader and member of the Dandakaranya Special Zonal Committee, was killed in an encounter in Dantewada on March 31, 2025.
The operation, based on actionable intelligence, took place along the border of Dantewada and Bijapur districts in Chhattisgarh.
Renuka, who carried a ₹25 lakh bounty, was in charge of the Naxalite media team and a resident of Warangal, Telangana.
Security forces recovered an Insas rifle, weapons, and explosives from the encounter site, highlighting the operational success.
This marks the latest achievement in the government's intensified campaign to eradicate Naxalism by March 2026, with 135 Maoists killed this year, including 119 in the Bastar region.
