Serhou Guirassy, the top scorer in the Bundesliga, made a record-breaking 14th goal in the 3-0 victory of Stuttgart against Union Berlin, being the first player to score 14 goals in the first eight match days of a Bundesliga season.
Guirassy left the field injured in the 30th minute, with the club later stating it was a left hamstring problem.
Silas Katompa Mvumpa and Deniz Udav also scored, securing Stuttgart's sixth straight victory and extending Union's losing streak across all competitions to eight games.
Despite the win, Stuttgart remains in second place, with Bayer Leverkusen maintaining a point lead after a 2-1 victory against Wolfsburg.
Union Berlin, which has now lost six consecutive games in the Bundesliga, is set to face Napoli in the Champions League on Tuesday.
