Shopify Announces New AI-Powered Tools and Updates

The eCommerce platform is set to introduce a media editor and a commerce assistant, among over 100 other updates, to enhance seller experience and customer engagement.

Shopify is expanding its range of AI-powered tools for sellers to include a media editor and a commerce assistant, among more than 100 updates to its eCommerce platform.
The Media Editor will enable sellers to use generative AI to create and edit images for their online store, and will be available early this year.
Shopify's AI-enabled assistant for commerce, Sidekick, has been rolled out to a few merchants in early access and will soon be generally available.
Shopify is also improving its semantic search, allowing customers to make more conversational searches and get more relevant results.
Other updates include a streamlined checkout experience, new APIs and apps, a new Subscription app, and two new lending solutions: Shopify Line of Credit and Shopify Term Loans.
