Overview

  • SENSE, an AI-powered diagnostic tool, will be trialed at NHCS, NUH, and Tan Tock Seng Hospital with 300 patients starting in Q3 2025.
  • The platform reduces cardiac CT scan interpretation time from up to four hours to under ten minutes, enhancing diagnostic efficiency.
  • SENSE analyzes key coronary artery disease factors, including calcium scores, epicardial adipose tissue, stenosis, and plaque characterization.
  • The system builds on the APOLLO project database of nearly three million CT images from 5,000 patients, tailored for Singapore’s population.
  • Developed in NHCS’s 164-square-meter CVS.AI lab, SENSE has demonstrated 85–99% accuracy in controlled environments but awaits real-world validation.
