Singer Cat Janice, diagnosed with sarcoma, has entered hospice care and released her final song, 'Dance You Outta My Head', the proceeds of which will go to her 7-year-old son Loren.
The song, co-written with her son, has charted globally, reaching No. 7 worldwide on iTunes and No. 1 in Romania, Ireland, and the Czech Republic.
Janice was diagnosed with sarcoma, a rare malignant tumor, in 2021 and was declared cancer-free in July 2022, but the cancer returned in her lungs in June 2023.
Despite her illness, Janice has continued to make music and document her journey on social media, gaining a large following and support from fans.
Janice, who won the Washington Area Music Award in the Best Rock Artist category in 2019, has expressed her hope that her legacy will be her authentic expression through her music and other art forms.
