Smart India Hackathon 2024 Kicks Off with Record Participation Nationwide

The 7th edition of the Smart India Hackathon (SIH) begins today, featuring both Software and Hardware editions across 51 nodal centers nationwide.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will virtually address participants during the Grand Finale, highlighting the event's role in fostering innovation and problem-solving among youth.
With over 86,000 teams participating at the institute level, SIH 2024 marks the largest edition to date, showcasing a 150% increase in internal hackathons compared to 2023.
Participants will address over 250 problem statements from 54 government ministries, PSUs, and industries, spanning sectors like healthcare, sustainability, disaster management, and education.
The event, running until December 15, will award cash prizes and career opportunities to winners, with some solutions potentially implemented in real-world applications.
