Snapdragon-Powered TicWatch Pro 5 Leads New Wave of Android Smartwatches Despite Software and Release Issues

The newest model in Mobvoi's TicWatch line, the TicWatch Pro 5, features Qualcomm's latest smartwatch chipset and a dual-display design for long battery life.
The masculine TicWatch Pro 5 design has a large case but remains comfortable, and battery life of multiple days is achieved through an ultra-low-power display and Essential mode.
Though Qualcomm's new Snapdragon W5 Plus chip does not provide a major speed boost, the watch offers many health and fitness features plus lots of apps.
The TicWatch Pro 5's biggest downside is its release just before new flagship models from Google and Samsung running improved software.
Google's Wear OS software that powers the watch is still a work in progress, and the new version expected later this year may leave the TicWatch Pro 5 behind.
