Socialite's Drunken Driving Crash Kills Houston Man on First Date

Kristina Chambers, a 32-year-old Houston socialite, has been accused of killing a man on a first date by drunkenly plowing her Porsche into him at nearly 100 miles per hour.
Chambers had been driving while intoxicated, with her blood alcohol content nearly four times the legal limit, when she failed to navigate a curve and struck 33-year-old Joseph McMullin.
McMullin had just left a doughnut shop with his date, Briana Iturrino, when Chambers' speeding Porsche hit him, throwing him 30 feet into the air before he crashed into a pole.
Chambers has been charged with intoxication manslaughter. Her defense attorney cited poor road conditions, but prosecutors argued that it was a crime committed by a drunk driver.
McMullin was described as a passionate and dedicated person who loved to help others. Chambers is currently being held on $50,000 bond.
