Socialite's Drunken Driving Crash Kills Houston Man on First Date

  • Kristina Chambers, a 32-year-old Houston socialite, has been accused of killing a man on a first date by drunkenly plowing her Porsche into him at nearly 100 miles per hour.
  • Chambers had been driving while intoxicated, with her blood alcohol content nearly four times the legal limit, when she failed to navigate a curve and struck 33-year-old Joseph McMullin.
  • McMullin had just left a doughnut shop with his date, Briana Iturrino, when Chambers' speeding Porsche hit him, throwing him 30 feet into the air before he crashed into a pole.
  • Chambers has been charged with intoxication manslaughter. Her defense attorney cited poor road conditions, but prosecutors argued that it was a crime committed by a drunk driver.
  • McMullin was described as a passionate and dedicated person who loved to help others. Chambers is currently being held on $50,000 bond.
